South Sudan’s Revenue Authority has introduced an electronic tax audit module, according to Juba Echo’s report of 22 September. The launch in Juba brought together revenue officials and the technology team to discuss a move away from manual audit procedures.

The report identifies Biong Deng Biong as managing director of Crawford Capital Pay and describes his presentation on the system. SSRA’s deputy commissioner for audit and compliance, Gumnok Manhom, and commissioner general, Amb. Moun Deng Ajuet, also addressed the event.

The module is intended to support tax administration through digital records and audit processes.

Following a government payment

Keep the invoice, payment reference and confirmation together. If a payment needs to be checked, those records help distinguish the amount requested, the transaction made and the status shown by the responsible service.
